1. Write or paste your template

Syntax cheat-sheet
  • {{Seller name}} — a fillable field. Names containing “date” become date pickers.
  • {{Price|1,500}} — field with an example value (used by “Prefill example”).
  • {{signature:Seller}} on its own line — a signature line. It picks up the “Seller name” field automatically; use {{signature:Seller|Some field}} to link another field.
  • # Title — centered document title. ## Heading — bold heading.
  • **bold** — bold text. - item — bullet list. Blank line — new paragraph.
  • The same field name used twice shows the same value in both places.

Templates you save live only in this browser (export a JSON backup to move them). The document you fill in below auto-saves like any other SealForms generator, and the template travels inside share links and “My documents”, so the other party sees exactly the same form.

When to use a custom document

SealForms templates cover the common cases — bills of sale, leases, notices, notes. But plenty of everyday paperwork is one-of-a-kind: a letter your accountant drafted, a short agreement between friends, a form your club or HOA already uses. The builder turns any of those into a fillable, signable form in a minute, without retyping it for every use.

Everything runs in your browser. The text you paste is not uploaded, stored on our servers, or used to train anything. If you share a document with the other party, it travels inside the link itself.

A note of caution. The builder formats your text; it does not review it. Whether a document is enforceable depends on its content, how it is signed, and the law where you are — for anything with significant consequences, have a professional look it over.
